Rottnest Island near Perth is a fantastic place to visit. This beautiful island features stunning beaches, turquoise waters and the fascinating quokka. These indigenous beaver-like marsupials can only be found in Western Australia and are incredibly adorable, inquisitive little creatures.
Iconic Landmarks & Wildlife
Take a visit to one of the most iconic images of Australia – Uluru or Ayers Rock. This incredible sight is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a sacred place for the indigenous people. One of the world’s greatest natural wonders, many people have been awed by the sheer size and beauty of the rock as it towers out of the flat plains of the national park.
You can take a tour from the nearby Alice Springs, which has plenty of other tourist attractions and things to do. Two of Australia’s most famous animals are the koala bear and the kangaroo, and you can see them in all their glory on the famous Kangaroo Island. Seals, sea lions and wallabies can also be seen here too.
Take a road trip along the Great Ocean Roa,d taking in the spectacular scenery along the coastline. One of the most popular sights along this route is the stunning 12 apostles, which rise dramatically out of the ocean.
