About Europe
The second-smallest continent on the planet, Europe is known for its rich history and captivating landscapes. It is often thought to be the birthplace of Western Civilisation. It is the centre of trade and commerce due to the rich agriculture and industrialisation on the continent. There are varied climates in Europe, and there are four main categories, dry, temperate, humid, and polar. Home to 44 countries, including the smallest country in the world: the Vatican city, Europe is full of history, art, architecture, beauty, and breathtaking scenery. History is apparent no matter where you are in Europe, from the Colosseum of Rome, and the Acropolis of Athens, to the Alhambra of Granada. Layer upon layer of knowledge and history can be found simply by wandering around any of Europe’s cities or towns.
Breathtaking Scenery

From the raw, wind-swept Cliffs of Moher in Ireland, the spectacular Dolomites in Italy, and the icy mountains of Iceland, to the blooming tulip fields of The Netherlands and the tropical-like beaches of Croatia – every country has something special, unique, and beautiful to offer. Western Europe is home to 412 UNESCO World Heritage sites, with Italy alone hosting 58 of these. The most significant number of heritage sites in the world. Some of these include the city of Verona, Piazza del Duomo in Pisa, and Mount Etna.
