Barcelona is located in Catalonia on the coast in the northeast of Spain. Famous for its football club and for the many works of the Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí, the most famous being the la Sagrada Família. The city is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world, and travellers can combine a city and beach break whilst exploring the fantastic food and art scene that Barcelona is synonymous with.

The country is full of incredible things to see and do. Take a trip to the region of La Rioja to taste some of the country’s best wines and visit some of the beautiful vineyards in the area.

Visit the majestic Moorish Alhambra Palace in Granada – the UNESCO World Heritage Sight is a complex of palaces and fortresses and is one of the best-preserved palaces of the historic Islamic world.

Watch a flamenco show in the beautiful Andalusian city of Seville which is thought to be the birthplace of this dance; don’t forget to try some of the country’s best and most well-known dishes including paella, potatas bravas and gazpacho.
