The Canary Islands are an archipelago of Spanish islands located just off the coast of northwestern Africa.

Tenerife, Lanzarote, Fuerteventura and Gran Canaria are the main islands that are visited by travellers.
Tenerife is the largest island in the archipelago, and it is dominated by the volcano El Teide, the highest mountain in Spain. There are rocky beaches, as well as sandy ones too, pine forests, and beautiful green valleys. It’s a fabulous place to hike – when it’s not too hot!
Lanzarote is filled with similar terrains. Lunar-like rocky landscapes, gorgeous golden beaches and beautifully clear waters. The volcanic landscape is a wonder to see – miles and miles of harsh, rocky land gives it a Mars-type feeling that is fascinating to witness.
White sandy beaches, gorgeously clear waters and the constant wind make Fuerteventura a popular spot for watersport enthusiasts. Windsurfing, kitesurfing and surfing are popular sports here, and thousands flock there yearly to partake in the sports.
Gran Canaria has breathtaking landscapes, including black lava beaches, and is a popular holiday destination with duty-free shopping havens like the capital city, Las Palmas.

All of the Canary Islands have varied but awe-inspiring landscapes just itching to be explored.
Hiking, water sports and year-round warm weather attract the crows, especially during the winter months in the northern hemisphere.
The islands all have their blend of culture and heritage, which is mainly Spanish-influenced but has its mix of Canarian influence.
