The Stanley Hotel, Colorado – 

This hotel is famous for inspiring Stephen King’s novel “The Shining.” According to reports, paranormal activity is prevalent in the hotel. The ghosts of Mr and Mrs Stanley are believed to roam through the hotel halls; room 217, in particular, is said to be their favourite. Ghostly piano tunes and ghost children’s laughter have also been heard around the hotel. If you’re brave enough to stay, book room 401, known for its eerie experience of a room that never rests.

This hotel is over 400 years old and has a recurring ghost sighting that residents have come to know as the Grey Lady. It’s believed that Lady Isobel Shaw, who fell to her death in room 202, now haunts the hotel. She is said to knock on doors and windows, searching for her lost child. If you’re willing to stay here, make sure to request room 202 and see if you can communicate with the Grey Lady.

The Langham Hotel, London – 

The Langham Hotel is known as one of London’s most haunted hotels. It’s believed that the ghost of Emperor Napoleon III haunts the basement of this 150-year-old luxurious spot. With nine known ghosts in total, this hotel has no shortage of ghostly sightings and paranormal activity. During your visit, check out Room 333, another notorious spot for supernatural activity.

Built in 1927, this hotel is famous for housing celebrities and hosting grand parties. However, little did people know that this hotel had a resident ghost named Montgomery Clift. He passed away in the hotel, and guests have reported seeing his apparition roaming along the hotel’s eighth floor. It is also believed that Marilyn Monroe haunts the hotel; she is most frequently seen in a full-length mirror hanging in one of the suites.

Queen Mary Hotel, California –

This hotel, once a transatlantic ocean liner that is now permanently docked, has a long history of paranormal activity. Guests have reported seeing apparitions of past passengers and crew members dressed in 1930s attire, ghostly footsteps, and singing sounds. The hotel’s most famous spot for sightings is the engine room, where a young sailor was crushed to death by the engine’s door and whose mechanical clanging still echoes through the room.
